Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Have you talked to your son and asked him to poke around to see if of the other recruits are NOT using all of his 4 guests allocation. Get you 3rd daughter's name on someone's list. Tell your son all his sisters want to see the ceremony.

Yes, I've done that, but it's been a couple of weeks since I've heard from him. Last letter I received from him was on 1/27 and last phone call was 2/3. So, I guess it's a waiting game to see if he's got my letter and did what I asked. You know how sons are with moms. ;)

Oh yes. My son is on a sub. One time I thought he was out on deployment. We hadn't heard from him in ages (no emails, no phone calls). We didn't want to ask his girlfriend - that is verboten. Every time the phone rang, we were afraid that something had happened to the sub. Finally he called. While his dad and I were sweating bullets with worry, he was having a great time in Washington DC taking some special class. We live in the West Coast. I casually mentioned, "Gee, it would've have been nice if you were able to stop in CA to see us and your girlfriend." Dead silence on the other line, then "Oh, she was with me."
So there you have it!
