Does anyone knows what PT-2 Failure means?  My son had failed his running part of the PT test and they are keeping him for weeks before he goes to A training.  They have told me that he is a PT-2 Failure. I was just wondering what the number stood for.

Not a problem... Any info I can get i'm greatful for. I was an army brat and wife so this ia all new to me

They are given 2 PT test during basic. One upon arrival and one before graduation.  The second test needs to be passed in order to graduate with their ship. They will not be alowed to praticiapte in the gradution cermony unless it is passed.  Alex finish basic and moved on to A-school anf is now stationed in Bethesda MD, he enjoys being there.  I hope I helped. I hope your time as a Navy Mom has been good, there is nothing better then being a mother of a child who serves in the military.

Best wishes and blessing to you daughter and family
