Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

what are the chances of my boyfriend getting stationed in Japan? does it matter what order you make your wishlist in? or is it just wherever your needed? he pick California washington state and Japan. I just need some advice on how to look at it or what can I can do.

yes were def after a school no matter where he goes.. I'm just hoping he doesn't have to go to Japan so that why I can go where he goes. but I just have this gut feeling he will go to Japan.. idk though I'm taking all this really hard and idk what to do..

Ask him if he has logged into CMS to see what billets are available....  If not, that is where he should be looking....
Craig, is that available to the students?  They seem to not be encouraged to do anything but wait for orders to be handed to them.
CMS ID isn't open to students.  There is a different pot of orders that the students are given from

Angie - The sailor is still able to look at CMS and see what duty stations are open.  He will be able to tell where the storage of personnel are for his rating, and he can write his dream sheet around those orders.  Most schools just hand out the orders on class ranking, but others actually use the dream sheet.

 

What this guy doesn't want to do is write down that he wants to go to Liberia Africa if he's a snipe.  The only billets they have in Liberia is for the IS rating.  He doesn't want to look stupid asking for something that isn't possible.  Thus, he needs to look at CMS and see where his ratings goes, then evolve his dream sheet around those places....
