OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My fiance has been gone for 2 weeks and he is literally my best friend. None of my 'friends' get what I'm going through and I miss him so badly. Anyone willing to chat?

I can chat too, if you want :) If you can, find something that you can do to look forward to every day. Mine is going to class twice a week, so maybe have a routine? Before you know it, you'll be halfway to seeing him again! :)

My routine is finishing school actually haha! I also see his family once a week :)

I do ride, actually!

Lexi, is your fiancee in boot? My husband just left yesterday to Bahrain :(

That's good :) writing a letter every day (if you haven't started already) helps too, it makes you feel like you're having a conversation in a way.

Hey Nicole, I know this is random, but my mom was born and raised in Visalia. Small world! (:

That's cool! Yeah, I've lived here pretty much my whole life :P
I totally had the same thing happen my friends thought I was crazy for being so upset.. it's hard the first couple weeks but my boyfriend graduates Friday and I can't believe how quick it went I defiantly thought it was gonna be worse than this. we spent every day together and did pretty much everything with one another so it was a big change but try and keep yourself busy and know that he's doing a good thing.. have you gotten a letter or call yet?
My husband is my best friend and he's been gone a week and a half. I know your pain
My boy friend left 02/16! If you ever need to talk just let me know :) the first weeks are hard, until you realize how fast they're going.. And even then you'll still have bad days, just try to keep your head up for him bc he needs you more than ever now! Trust me, my bf only has 23 more days left (he's more than halfway done due to being in a PUSH Div) and it's literally FLYING by. Try to find things to keep your mind extra busy.
And this site also REALLY helps, these ladies know almost every answer to any question so don't be afraid to ask! Lol

Keep your head up, it gets easier! :)

Fiance left yesterday and it is def. harder than I imagined. I am absolutely down to chat!
