Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Congrats and Welcome....you should get the form letter and the box in around 2 weeks. The box ix delivered via FedEx and the letter is USPS. You won't get any letters for about 3-4 weeks and he won't get any of your letters for about as long. Actually you'll most likely get the "I'm still alive" call before either of you get any mail.
To connect with those with loved ones that left in September join this group....http://www.navyformoms.com/group/leavinforbootcampinsepetember
Once you get your PIR date...search groups and join the PIR group. That is the place you want to be to get updates and to connect with others who have loved ones with yours. Another good group to join for info and support is the Boot Camp Moms.
The best way to find your PIR group is to click on the drop down thingy on the right hand side under the Groups tab and click on "Latest" that way it will pull up the groups that have most recently been formed. Your group should be forming in a few weeks...once the form letters start getting delivered or the RTC FB page lists the date with the divisions that will graduate on that date.
Hi...please go ahead and join the group that Jessica posted the link to above. Also, this one, until you get your form letter:
Just click the links and they will take you there.
