OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

Hi Jenny, my son is leaving for Bootcamp tommorrow too. Just dropped him off at recruiter and then they are off to hotel and then they will arrive at meps in a.m. They will swear in depending upon the time they are leaving. Then off to the airport to pick up other future sailors... I just went thru it Sept. 25 with my oldest son.I hope you are holding up pretty good. hope the info helps. And God Bless you and Hubby...

So Thankful I was able to drive my son to San Diego, then we checked him into hotel, spent the day with him than met him at Meps in the am, swear in was at 10:00. then he had luch, we were able to stay with with him until they loaded up for the airport.

Yes, my son also left today, Nov. 6.  I'm carrying a phone around the house with me waiting for his "I'm here safe and sound," call.

My son just called.  He's at Boot Camp safe and sound.  We talked a whopping 53 seconds!  lol

Hi Davesmom what Meps did your son go to? Maybe i saw you today. We dropped my son off too.

My son just called too. Did good all day until that call. Tears won't stop falling. Hope you are good.

Hi timekarich.  We were at Minneapolis MEPS.  Is that where you were?  I feel kinda bad because my tears just won't come.  I think I'm still numb.  I bet they will catch up with me when I least expect them.  Imagine the next phone call!  Hang in there.
