While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Nuke Finacee in need of answers!
My finace' is currently in A school and we are looking to get married soon. I need to know how to go about getting things together. He's an E-4 and I know he is able to live off base but is he able to move off base as soon as we get married or does he have to fill out paperwork and what not? I'm going to be having our daughter on Tuesday June 2nd. But she's not biologically his so he most likely wont be able to be there to see his daughter born. He already claims her as his own. We plan on just going to the courthouse and having a an actual wedding after he gets out of school since he wont really have time to help plan the wedding. So if anyone could give me any type of advice I'd be super grateful! Please and thank you!

Depends on which part of nuke school he is in. They do process the paperwork very quickly, but unless he is in prototype, he has to remain in the barracks until he is married. If he has begun prototype, then just proceed any way is convenient. A lot hinges on when the BAH kicks in.
Even if the child were his, there's a good chance they'd not let him go for the birth. Hard to say nuke school, they can be very generous while being very strict. Unfortunately, since you won't be married before the birth, he misses out on paternity leave.
