It's 3 o'clock in the morning and I'm about to have a mental breakdown. I am sick and in a bad situation (being kicked out) among other things. Also, I can't seem to figure out how to book my flights and hotel through sites like expedia because either the flights are non transferable/refundable or you need to be 21+ to book the room. And prices skyrocketed as soon as I clicked checkout. I was planning on going alone but now I'm not sure if I can go at all. Plus, I can't talk to my SR until he's about to graduate so I don't even know how many days I need to be there. I am beyond stressed and I can't sleep. Any tips to book my trip and/or relax enough to sleep?

PIR is really early Friday so I would think it best to be there Thursday evening, and depending where your SR is doing A school, you can leave Sat. or if he's staying in Great Lakes Sunday.  Not sure why your prices are changing.  You should probably try and relax a little and get some sleep.  Praying that all goes well for you.  Try and go directly through a specific airline to book and see if that's a little easier.

Flyrasmom has a point: Not all airlines work thru Orbitz, Expedia or other 3rd party ticketing agencies. For instance, if you want to book a flight with Southwest because of their no penalty re-booking, go directly to their website, https://www.southwest.com . Hope this helps a little.

No idea what your Sailor's Navy job (rating) is going to be? That's the key to knowing how much time you will have together.

I believe the answer to your question is an aviation mechanic.

Brisa, your Sailor will most likely fly out to "A" School the day after PIR, but may fly out on Sunday due to flight availability issues (it doesn't happen every week, but it does happen some weeks). Plan to leave on Sunday if you are able. See PIR Day and Liberty during PIR Weekend to help you know how to plan your weekend.

I left additional info on your My Page.

My boyfriend is going to aviation after graduation as well.  He is probably going to A school in Florida.  And to help with the mental aspect to it I just write to him, constantly.  I write way more letters to him than he does to me.  I helps me calm down and feel like I'm actually talking to him if that makes sense? lol

Hannah, there is no doubt about it; your then Sailor will go to Pensacola for "A" School or training if he has an aviation contract.

Check your My Page.

What state are you flying out from??? Try Southwest and Frontier Airlines.. I paid $300 round trip from Frontier Airlines...

Hello. You should try and book your flight through southwest their tickets are not refundable but they do allow you to change the dates to accommodate your schedule if need be for no additional fee. I booked through them for my SR's PIR for the date of 3/25/16 and for a roundtrip flight the price was pretty decent check them out if you can and just try to stay as positive as you can throughout your situation ,things will definitely get better for you.

Ok I booked my flights and hotel. I figured it out but I'm still really stressing because I can't talk to him and I'm going through alot right now. Any other advice other than writing daily? That does help but it's still hard.
