Was just wondering if anyone on here has experienced a PIR recently with their toddler. Just been wondering how it’s going to go lately. I know it’ll be exhausting, (for us both!) Our trips have always been done by driving to hotels, amusement parks, events etc. this will be her first (she’s 2) biggest trip we have done. I believe we are flying too so that’ll be new. Just was wondering how well things may have gone during the whole experience? And any flying/packing tips for us? I just want it to be a good trip and go well cause we are just chopping at the bit to see daddy again! Although she’s obviously still confused, she sorta thinks he kinda lives in my phone now I think...(videos, pics, etc that I show every nap and night time) lol!. But, i’ve Been trying to put a list together for packing and such and honestly I’m really not sure where to begin! Lol which is highly unusual for me. I haven’t had the chance to come across too many wives/gfs with any toddlers yet. Even if you haven’t been with a toddler any mom to mom tips on when you may have traveled in the past like this with your little ones??

i appreciate all replies. :)  just trying to be prepared somewhat!

I traveled with a 1.5 year old. Bought child friendly headphones so she could watch shows on her tablet while we flew. Arrived early enough in the day to let her run around a bit to get the energy out. We went to sarges and she enjoyed it. It was like family with everyone helping each other (after we met in our PIR group). Got to PIR and she did pretty well with sitting on the bench. We put down a little padding to help. We also went to Chicago for the day and took their train system with no problems. This was on thanksgiving weekend too. Good luck

Travelgurl67&Phoenixmom:

thanks guys! Sounds like what I thought about doing! I’ve been trying to get her used to her headphones I bought for her kindle kids fire and for the iPad. We’ve gotten to the point that she will flip them up on her head like her headbands atleast (she use to not even let me put them on at all) Haha super frustrating. She’s like not getting the fact that I’m trying to make her realize that’s where the sound will come from. Instead she acts as if the headphones are going to suck her brains out. (Twonager tude problems lol) I have a small “JuJube Be light”  tote I plan on bringing in. Is there a rule on liquids? (We only drink water anyways) where in there was she able to run around? I didn’t think there was much room once you got in to your seats and such or are you meaning before you headed on in?

Good Morning NukeWife I'm sure she will do fine at PIR just take a few snacks for her in a small diaper or carry bag. the bag will be searched and big totes are not allowed so something small. I know they sell clear bags at Wal-Mart that would be good so they can see thru the bag. Know that the weather is cold so gloves/mittens maybe a little hat/beanie or ear muffs for her and a coat. Safe travels to you and the little one.
