Except for Tiffany, the current official official admin for the Navy For Moms site, all the members who provide help, information and post comments are VOLUNTEERS with loved ones in the Navy. They are unpaid contributors to this site.

Once you get passed the "newbie" stage, please stick around and help wherever and whenever you can. Just a supportive comment here and there will make a world of difference for a member who is just starting this journey. Even "old" veterans to military life can use a supportive shoulder now and then.

Good luck to you and your sailor. Enjoy the wonderful ride.

HoneyBeeQueen, You are very welcome. I am an administrator in the group, Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) (which doesn't really mean anything), but I am not an administrator on the N4M site. Tiffany is the only N4M administrator. There are several seasoned members who help out on the site, but that does not make us any more valuable than the other member on N4M.

Marissadolphin3, It is more likely that your recruit will be in the Thanksgiving TG than the week after, but either is a possibility.

Check your My Page.

I hate to sound stupid.....but what is a brother division?

Two Divisions that train (and test) together are "Brother Divisions".

Thank you!

The Page, What does ??? mean? (A Guide to Navy Abbreviations and Terminology), will help you with many of the new terms you will come across.

I received form letter today! My son left 9/23 and PIR is Nov.21. Tomorrow is his 18th birthday. Glad I finally have an address.

What ship and division Kimberly?

Hello Kimberly I received my bf form letter today also he is on Ship 12 Div 16 PIR 11/21. Can't wait to send off my letters. BTW Happy birthday to your son.
I haven't spoken to my son either but he did call his girlfriend, and we received the form letter on Saturday. My son is on Ship 14 Div 011 with a PIR date of November 21 if all goes well. It's very confusing because some who arrived on the same date of 9/23 are graduating on 11/14.
Hang in there, I'm sure you'll hear something from him soon. This has been a bit difficult for most of us, but I feel certain they are safe.

Some who arrived on Monday or Tuesday filled a division from the previous week's TG and are in a Push Division and are in one of the last divisions for the TG and some who arrived on the same days were placed in a division from the TG for that week and are in one of the first divisions of the new TG.
