ok i got the lanyards pretty much figured out -

here is an option:

PROUD OF MY US NAVY SAILOR, (they can put a anchor here or do the RTC) GREAT LAKES PIR 8/26/11

if you have another idea on what they should say throw it out there & lets chat about it....

going the navy colors of navy lanyard with the gold lettering, they are going to be $2.50 each with the lanyard, and name badge hanger & shipping via usps first class mail - and if ordering several i will probably send them priority mail in a flat rate envelope :) for name badges, i am planning to use the navy moms icon, screen name & real name - than anything else you want would like on your personalized badge should be emailed to me & i will try to fit all your requests on them...my email for this project is navymom@wavecable.com

looking forward to meeting everyone!

here are the icons that maybe we could use....or just stick witht he same wording they used in 2010? i am worried the seal would be reduced so much it would be impossible to read, but the anchor may be a nice touch...what do you all think?

I'd vote for something a little more generic like the anchor (like you, I think the seal might be too small when it was done) - but that's because I didn't get anything like this when my daughter PIR'd and then it would apply to both!  But I'll go with what the majority want.

I like the one in the picture with an addition of the anchor. The blue with gold writing sounds perfect! I am going to get one as a keep sake and the other to wear later to work :)

ok i did a  bit of cut & paste - & am waiting for the "proof" fromthe company to verify everything - when i get it i will post it!  i LOV all the feedback thank you so much - i hope you all like i was able to get the anchor added at N/C :) im very happy they are turning out to be an awesome company! i am still trying to get them to give me the 100 for the 250 cost which only saves everyone about 50cents bt it all adds up!  especially when people are wanting to order for everyone in the family as we are ALL so proud of our sailors!

one thing about the badges, they are a plastic pocket that you insert a badge or something into, so if you wanted to remove the badge i make for you or make your own you could also after the meet & greet, I plan to insert a graduation photo of my sailor & of course you certainly could too! & give them to family that couldnt as a keep sake!

thanks again for all the great feedback - i hope everyone loves these!

I love the anchor! It's so cute!
Hey Heather    I like the idea of Ship/Division,    SR's name and 2011  and also the anchor.  I don't know how many I would get yet..we'll talk soon
Yes, I agree with you. It's a good idea.

like the anchor.  Also like the SR's name.

I think she has to get 100 of the same design - so it has to be relatively generic.  Can have "Great Lakes PIR 8/26/2011" but maybe not so specific as each division number.  Correct me if I'm wrong.
that is correct the lanyard its self must all be the same.... but the clear insert can have anything you want - create your own....

FINALLY, I got a real letter today. He sounds like he is doing great actually. Fairing much better than I. Wow, what a great feeling. I love the lanyards and would love to buy 3. When you get it figured out please let me know. Thanks again for all the support and friendship.
