Events

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).  Still limited to 2 guests maximum.

Specific information on this policy change will be provided in the coming days and weeks.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your support.

**UPDATE - 2020**

Due to COVID there is no public PIR. The graduations are on Thursday, and the video of the graduation is posted on RTC's FaceBook on Friday at approx 3pm. Please keep in mind that a division may need to complete additional quarantine during training which will delay their graduation.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Everyone please remember - this PIR is on WEDNESDAY, 11/27/19 due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.  It is NOT on 11/29/19.

Hi did you send a phone card to your daughter?

Michelle - your SR should be able to buy a card at the NEX.  They get paid while in boot camp and they have them open a bank account (if he didn't already have one when he left).  He can use this money to purchase a card.  Phone calls (besides the "I made it here" and "I'm a Sailor") are not guaranteed - but with that said they usually will get at least one other call if not more.  This is where you must practice patience - and remember, no news is good news!  But hopefully you'll be getting another call soon!  Hang in there!

Also, be sure to join the boot camp group - I left the link in the Welcome message on your page.  You'll find lots of good info there ;-D

Hi—

i didn’t she told me she purchased it. I guess they have like an account where they will be deducting their uniforms and other stuff. I did send her a gift card??? I will find out if she go it.

Hi Gigi thank you for the info,so i guess i dont have to send a phone card.. My son maybe will just purchase too.. Thanks again!

How do you know the PIR date?

You will receive the form letter 9 to 14 business days after your recruit's arrival at RTC.

Has anyone received their last call??? I am supposed to travel Tuesday morning to be there Wednesday but I haven’t heard anything from my girl. Does anyone have any suggestions???

Thank you in advance!

Hi Gigi! I received a phone call from my son Friday afternoon. He advised they had Captains Cup Saturday and his division would do Battle Stations Tonight (Sunday) so expected to call Monday morning. I’m so excited to see him this week!! ❤️
