OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

New Sailors are not supposed to marry PIR weekend, but some have managed to do it. It would be best to wait and do it at "A" School and since your then Sailor will have a long "A" School, you have plenty of time to get married during "A" School. You can check in Girlfriends, Fiances, and Wives of Sailors.

I haven't seen her post of the GF/Spouse group, so I will add a reply here for anyone interested.
Sailors are not supposed to marry PIR weekend. They sign a page 13 in their service record stating they will obey the liberty rules. The catch is, the Navy cannot forbid an American citizen from marrying. The sailor would be punished for not following the page 13 order, not for getting married. Not much of a difference, but it is there. The ones who have an A school outside of Great Lakes simply do not have time; it is a two day process in Lake County.
There's several good reasons for the rule. Security clearance is one of the big ones, and fraudulent marriages for the BAH.
Your sailor has a nice long school, and one which is known for being strict about the marriage thing. Of all the school commands, I'd be least surprised to see that one pursue punishment for breaking the rules (including potential loss of school eligibility and being rerated). Hasn't happened yet, but it is within regulations, and you never know who will be made into the first example.
They will want him to be in at least phase two of liberty, and to submit a special request chit stating intent to marry, and to go to a class/counseling on marriage. Makes a good reason to visit again. In phase three, they can have weekend overnights, which would be nice.
Some choose to marry during the holiday stand down. No chit required, but annoys the hell out of the command. No punishment, but a lot of grumbling. Senior staff think the new guys should concentrate on school and get a deployment under their belt before making the big commitment. New brides do not like to take second place to the Navy, and that is very much required. Something to ponder.
