Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Those whose school is out of state normally leave for the airport early the day after PIR. They are NOT allowed overnight liberty, and must be back on base by a certain time. Right after PIR, they are allowed a short amount of liberty time, but must stay with in 50 miles of RTC base
Not sure what you mean by leave with you?
it is up to you how long you want to stay there.

Since he will be flying out, plan to arrive on Thursday before PIR and leave late Saturday or on Sunday. He will be able to leave with you when Liberty is called around 10:30 unless he needs to go back to his ship for some reason and then must return to the RTC before Liberty expires that evening (he'll know when). He will give you his flight details and you wil be able to spend time with him at the airport. See PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) for more on that. Join that group while you are there and check out the other Pages (found under the pictures of the Members). Arrival and What Happens at the RTC will tell you what is happening for your SR. Once you know your SR's division number and/or PIR date, watch in Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) or go to http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/groups-listed-by-pir-date and join the group for that once it has been created.
