OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Great information... this really helps us the plan as we approach PIR and our SR is becoming a Sailor!!!!
Good evening i'm new at this my son PIR is this week and he will be headed to A school in Charleston SC. Any information on what to expect is welcome.

My son has a ship date of 9/9 so I am just trying to learn what I can for now.

I am a little early on this site, but I like learning early.

Thanks for information provided.  My son is completing "A" school at Goose Creek on April 11, 2014.  I plan to attend the ceremony recognizing this achievement.  I was wondering whether there are others with a loved one in this class.

Thanks for the info
