My sailor is spending a lot of time on the ship and will be going on deployment at some point.  He would like to watch movies while on the ship but does not have much room to store his belongings.  I thought about getting him a Tablet but they don't have much storage for him to be able to download movies while in port.  Does anyone have any suggestions on gift ideas that can be used on the ship?  Especially, gifts that would enable my son to watch movies.  He's got a birthday this month and then Christmas next month so I could combine both holidays and get him something nice.  Thank you in advance!

A lot of guys have a tablet or laptop, but store the movies on external hard drives or thumb drives.  However, be cautious when sending a high value package to a ship.  They are subject to theft, sadly.

Thanks Anita!  Any other suggestions for things he might enjoy on the ship?  Like I said, he's spending a lot of time there and will soon go on deployment.  So, I'd like to try to make him as comfortable as possible.  I know they don't have much room.  He will be home sometime for the holidays so I will be able to give him his gifts in person this year.  And, I'm in Ohio too so it's not that bad of a drive if I have to go there to give him his gifts... I mean, it's not like I'm all the way across the country!  :)
