For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

The system was down? No, maybe locally on his ship?
He needs to go to Personnel and have the YN review his record. Details such as time in service and time in rate. He may need to do his leadership courses, etc. Even a push button needs to meet those requirements. This is not something google will help with, he needs to be proactive and bother his Chain of Command and PSD. Too much private info to be giving out over the internet as far as details go.

To answer the question we need to know the rating, and what paygrade he left boot camp as, and if he received the promotion because he was #1 in his class....

The system on the ship was down for 2 Months. Trying to be as vague as possible, but he left boot camp as an E3, which was early April. He did his leadership course the first month he was at the ship (late August/early Sept). He just got his e4, but hasn't had a pay cycle since then. We're mostly wondering if he's supposed to be back payed, because that's what he was told when he got there. But he's heard mixed things since then
His recruiter originally told him he'd make e4 after graduating c school.

If they promoted him to E-4, the he does have a rating. He still has to complete his 6 months Time In Service (TIS) to be eligible for the pay. Once that day is reached, then he will start seeing the pay. However, sometimes the Navy gets back logged, but they will back pay him for the amount owed. He needs to contact his PS to make sure everything is on track....
