OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

So, is there a thing where if their A School is over a certain amount of time they are allowed some time before they leave? If not, thats ok, I just figured someone would know or not. That way I can plan accordingly. Any information will help! Thank you. (:

I am sorry to say you were misinformed. They normally go directly to their A school after their graduation (PIR). The week's leave usually comes after A school. Where is he going for school? (It is okay to say). Things a a little different at each school command, so it helps people give you advice if they know.
They are generally told not to marry PIR weekend, and it is usually difficult to arrange, as they may have to fly out Saturday morning (they graduate on Fridays).
If you join the girlfriends group, you will see many ladies discussing a courthouse marriage while their fiance is in A school. This is so they can be assured they will be included on his orders for after A school. This would provide for a paid move to his next duty station for them, and other benefits. Waiting until after A school when he is on leave might mean he could pull overseas orders for three years, and possibly not have his new spouse join him. Not a happy way to start a marriage.

Also, if you marry while he is in school, you might be able to join him, and he might be able to get permission to live off base with you. Again, I don't know which school he's going to, so I can't say for sure.
They then have a nice vow ceremony and a reception with the family when he can come home on leave. Hey, TWO anniversaries to celebrate!
I am also prior Navy, and I have NO idea why other ex-sailors would tell you such a thing about leave between boot camp and A school. A week AFTER school, unless he gets a C school which begins immediately, then his leave would come after that. So many variables! And nuke school is different yet.
School commands have a stand down over the Christmas holidays, and the student sailors are strongly encouraged to take leave and go home. With a long school, he may very well be able to take leave and come home then. That could be a great time to marry also.

Wow thanks for the infomation it helps alot! And he is going to Pensecola Florida for IT. And by what your saying, is to get married either by the time he comes home during christmas break that way he might be able to not get shipped overseas? Sorry, new to the whole navy experience. D:
I also read online that if he gets a approved wavier while in bootcamp then he will be able to get married either that weekend or sometime after. Not sure when. Would that be something to look in to?
The only reason I'm worried about this marriage is because I am 4 months pregnant and he wants to be there for me and the child as much as we can, and we will the longer we wait, he might get shipped overseas or whatnot. So I'm wanting to do this as soon as possible but also to where he wont get in trouble, if you get what I'm saying.

While he is on boot camp, he should talk to his RDC about marrying the Friday afternoon of PIR. He must have written permission, and should stress that you are pregnant and want to marry before you cannot travel. It is possible to get it done that afternoon, but it takes permission, information and organization. He is very likely to be a Saturday departure, leaving for Florida early in the morning. Permission given at boot camp will not be recognized at Pensacola.
Google the county courthouse for Great Lakes (I think it is Lake County, IL). Read up on the information, call and ask them questions if you must. You will need a waiver for the 24 hour wait. I've seen one gal mention a fee, but I don't remember seeing that information myself. (sorry, I don't feel like googling this morning, but let me know if you just can't find it)
If you wait until Pensacola, you're run into even more difficulties. He will be in phase one for liberty, must still ask permission, and may have to take premarital courses, finances and so on.
Personally, I'd smack the recruiter around.

I looked up on google and wasn't able to find any information. I did look around here to see if I could find anything, but yet all I found were the hours the courthouse is open. Mom said she would look online to see if she can find anything. But if you happen to run across anything, any information about that will be helpful!
Also, if we get married during PIR, how soon do you think I could join him in Flordia? I have read that many girls go down and just stay in a Villa or a nice hotel until they are able to get housing, but I just want to know at least how long it might take because i don't want to take any big chances since I will be close to 5 months pregnant and so on and so forth. Sorry if I'm asking to many questions, it just seems like your the only one so far that has helped the most.

Some bases don't let the students live in base housing, some do. Takes a few pay cycles for teh BAH (housing allowance) to kick in. Start saving every penny.
