For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Ramada Inn Waukegan
Has anyone stayed in the Ramada Inn or PIR. We booked there but after reading the reviews I am a little nervous. Most were not that good. Please let me know if you have and what your experience was

We stayed near the Gurnee Mall when we went out during A school. Unfortunately I can't remember which one. Definitely a nicer area.

I did not see a follow up post from kdmac1 regarding staying at the Ramada Inn. PIR is 8/24/12 for us. I got nervous about staying there with my 12 year old daughter after reading some of the reviews. I canceled the reservation and booked at the Hilton Garden Inn. I got the getaway rate of $82 per night. I thought this was very reasonable for a Hilton. I called the hotel and was told they are 9 miles approximately 15 minutes from the base.

we stayed at the Ramada Inn in waukegan, was apprehensive after reading some of the reviews but all were from 2010 and no recent reviews. A little musty yes, but for the rate at $72 and to be 5 minutes from the base(turn right out of the parking lot, go a few miles then turn left and your at the base) and to have everything you can imagine to eat within 2-10 minutes, i could not have asked for anything better. We had no problems, would recommend again for only a 1 or 2 night stay.

I am sorry I did not get back but I changed my reservation. I was just not comfortable with the reviews so we stayed at
Comfort Inn and had no issues. Staff was real nice hotel was clean. I would stay there again and our room 70.00 a night
