FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Recieving the "box"

February 22nd 2010 at 10:43 am pst I just pulled into the driveway and a fed ex truck pulled up. I held my breath hoping it would be for me and I would get Casey's box, and it was and I did recieve it. This is part of the training for us Mom's I think, I was happy to have his things, but sad that I did not get a mailing address. It is a good cry and I think I needed it, I miss him but am so proud of him. God will watch over him. Gloria P.S All of his personal items were inside of the box, nothing was missing.

Thank you for being there, it is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I don't understand how some Moms get address info and others don't. Am I missing something? I have looked at all the sites and have not found any other info, perhaps it is the timing in the mail and the locations that they send to. I am so anxious to get some contact. I have downloaded some questionaires from the boot camp for moms site, they made me laugh, and I think my son Casey will find them typical for the type of questions that Moms ask. You should check it out it makes us moms feel like we need to. Again, thanks for being there, Gloria

Call his recruiter now - he will have the address and mail a letter today. I got my address before I got my Box because I called his recruiter. Hurry!

His address was not supposed to be in the box just his belongings.

woohoo have that letter ready to mail - My son has been gone almost 5 weeks and he said the mailman is a close second to his momma!!! He loves him! I write 2 a day and encourage our friends and family to write also. Good luck to you!
