Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Ronda the date that comes on the form letter is the date for PIR, if anything should come up I believe she would be able to give a call.
If there is a problem with her passing the FIT, or exams she may call and let you know.
here is a website to read up on. at or Ship/Division--How it Works. http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/faq.htm
Right Now No News is Good News!
Ronda as far as reservations I would look into them, we booked a month prior to PIR. Some do it right away it all depends on you, in your form letter you should of received a brochure with the hotels and all. also here is a website that may help.
See Saving Money PIR Weekend and PIR Day and Liberty during PIR Weekend.
The Form Letter will also tell you the date of PIR, so you can start making plans for your trip. There are many hotels in the area and there is information in the grad pack and on this site about them. If you fly in, renting a car will make your life easier. Also, if you are flying, some airlines, such as Southwest, will allow you to change your flight if something happens without a charge, so you do not have to book refundable tickets. Plan to arrive the day before PIR so you won't risk missing this very special event and go to Sarge's Meet and Greet from 5 pm to 10 pm at the Lakehurst Event Center (go to http://www.mynavytaxi.com/events.html to RSVP) and maybe part of another Meet and Greet (Flanagan's has one). You must pick up your tickets for PIR at the Recruit Family Welcome Center either Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday before 8 am. (For PIR dates that are on a day other than Friday, the Recruit Family Welcome Center will be open two days prior to PIR and the morning of PIR.) Picking them up the day before PIR would be ideal. Guests must pick up their own ticket using the ID that was indicated in the Security Access Form that was included with The Form Letter and returned to the recruit.
