OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

Good Morning Dear, I'm late joining the group actually my son's fiance' invited me to join the goup. I wasn't sure what the ribbons were everyone keeps posting about, or if I wanted or needed them until I saw them. My SR'S PIR in 3/11/11 is it too late for me to order or get these ribbons. I don't know what info you need from me, how much they cost, or who or how I pay. If you could please let me know I would deeply appreciate it. I've been reading everyones postings for the past several days and enjoyed hearing and actually learning things that my SR has not been writing home about.

My SR is as follows:
Ship 12 Div 102
PIR 3-11-11

Thank YOU!
