Submarine moms are special:

--- All of us have boys, "SAILORS!"

 --- Who serve on "boats,"

 --- With whereabouts unknown, and

--- We only get sporadic, short emails while they're out!

Tell us where your sailor serves...

My son is on the USS Alexandria, based out of Groton, CT, and is a Sonar Tech.

Hi SSN 757! My son is aboard the USS Alexandria too! Maybe we can talk sometime....

You should join us on the Alexandria page... our guys are out on deployment.

I'm already a member of the Alexandria page. lol  But, I thank you for the invite just the same. =)

I think like a lot of moms I check in everyday to see if anyone has heard from their sons, and to see if there is any type of 'news.'  Navy for Moms is such an invaluble source of support and information. I'm thankful to 'know' you friendly ladies.

My son got orders to the USS Mississippi, SSN-782 in Groton, CT.  He is a ET nuke and graduates from prototype in about 4 weeks.    He is very excited about being chosen for the crew of  USS Mississippi this magnificent new submarine.

welcome my son is also on the USS Mississippi

Daniella...

Thank you for the welcome.  I have not seen any other mention of the La Jolla.  Do you know if there is a facebook for moms?  My son joined a group but I don't think he would want me on there.

hmm...I don't know about that. I believe that there's only 2groups on FB for La Jolla. One should be the one your son joined, and the other one is cooking club one, so I don't know anything about that. Actually, we don't even have La Jolla group on this website :( But you can create one, then we can see how many families are on this website :D

Hey - I'm new here.  Any one on the USS Missouri?

I'm so excited to finally see another Mom with a sailor on the USS Bremerton.  My sailor is on the USS Bremerton.   They are now deployed.  Our family was able to participate in the FRG package.

I live in Minnesota.  Our sailor has been stationed in Hawaii since July 2011.  He loves Hawaii.  He is living off base in a house with two other sailors.  He is an MM2
