OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Not mine.

Not ours.

My daughter is. I wish I knew if they were leaving Friday or Saturday!

Our daugter is going to A-school To be a

master at Arms!  She told us she leaves Sat.

Our daughter in Ship 02, Div 913. Arrived in GL 12/13/2011

We also have a Forum on the RTC site for 02/913 PIR 2/17/12. The more news, the happier the families! SR's too!

Just found it a couple of days ago.  Ladies if you are looking for it and can't find it look to the left and click on forums.  They run backwards, with the most recent posts at the back instead of the front.

Hey does anyone know if the SR. will b able to stay with us at the hotel? I heard they allow them out that night to celebrate and usually they rent hotel rooms...

The SRs have to report back in to BC usually between 8-9 pm.  Allow time for them to walk back to their ship, which is usually at least a 20 min walk.  Unfortunately they are not allowed to spend the night away from BC.

I know we have a long way to go, but after reading the posts on RTC w/people going to PIR this Friday, I got so excited thinking about when it's our turn!
It's Trivia Tuesday ppl! Make sure you're on US Navy Recruit page at noon Central time so we can answer the question first & get a picture of our SR's Division!
our power surged & my answer didn't post to the thread, it went on a new one when my wireless reconnected! embarrassing, but RTC was okay with it, they just deleted it for me. next Tuesday noon Central Time, we want to win that ship/div picture!
