My son is in Division 937 and I am already so excited to attend PIR. Has anyone made their hotel reservations yet or am I the only one so anxious she did it BEFORE receiving the official letter?

So far I've only received the "I got here call" and "the box." Reminded me of birth -- naked they came into civilian life and naked they left it for the Navy :)

What a journey we are all on together!

Ruzymommy - Yea!!!!!  Congrats.  So happy for you.   Thanks for sharing the info.  It helps so much to hear from the SR's.  I am trying to be patient for our letter but it's hard.  I want to hear from my SR so badly. Keeping the faith....maybe today's mail will bring me joy!  A call on Friday would be more than I could hope for...

Got a letter yesterday too!!!  Was SO happy, still doing the happy dance!!!  She is doing well. Also mentioned some female infighting and some attitude.  She said the "peanut butter shot" felt more like "ranch" that's my girl!!!!!  They apparently got a lot of shots!!  Boots had given her a blister, but over all shes doing great!!!!  Now if she would call  LOL

Hi cbasshubb, welcome to the group.  Not only will you find a lot of good information on this site but also A LOT of great support.  The moms and wives on this site are amazing...Bootcamp Mom's is another great group.  My son left for BC on 6/5/12...two weeks ago yesterday...two of the hardest weeks I have ever had.  I can honestly that as hard as they have been i know they would have been even harder without this group!!!! I'm so glad I found this site.

We have not received a REAL letter yet but several are starting to get them this week....so i'm hoping we get a letter any day now.

We got the "form letter" last Thurs and called the next day for hotels...some were already booked up.  You may want to take Omaha's advice and call Sarge.  Good Luck.

hi cbasshubb my husband is in the same ship and division as your son :) i haven't received any letters or calls. im still waiting on my form letter :/  i will let you know as soon as i do though. and please let me know also. you are closer the IL than i am so you will probably get one before i do.

Greetings all,

My Son left for Boot camp on the 5th, it was difficult to have one of "birds" fly the coop, but I know he is a man now..

I got his letter on Sunday,(It went to his address on file) and I was hopeing that their might be just a HI MOM in there nope nada.

He is Ship 02 Div 937

And now I find out he is in the Music Division. I know when he joined it was not what he had wanted, but I guess it is a blessing in disguise..

He graduated from a Music Academy and can currently play 10 different instruments. So He is in a good place.

But I am wondering if this will change his plans? as when he is finished with Boot Camp he was/is supposed to go to Texas for his schooling. does anyone know?

Are there any Southern California moms/spouses/friends out there I currently live in Santa Clarita area.
