Welcome to the discussion group for division 951.

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the main wall to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I got another phone call from my husband today!  Hoping the calls roll in for the rest of the SRs in 951!

My SR said the same thing when he called today.  He said a few people are really screwing it up for the whole division and it's really frustrating him.  I'm really bummed to hear that that is happening.

He said that they should get their first chance to write letters tomorrow.

I did get a quick phone call.  I feel truly blessed today as my son said a few has made it difficult for the many.  He said they may get time tomorrow to write and receive mail.  He will be handing out the mail.  I wish the call would have been longer.  His girlfriend and sister were with me at the mall when he called so at least he got a few minutes with each of us.  I hope and pray everyone gets a call today because it really helps.

Well even though I am very sad that I missed the call from my daughter. I was at work and not allowed to keep phone on. When she first arrived at Boot Camp she said she could call in three weeks. So needless to say I was not prepared. But I will be keeping my phone on, from now on. She was very sad and started to cry when she left the message. I am glad to see others on her ship02 and div 951 also got calls. I was afraid she was able to call because she was struggling too much. Hoping and praying she is doing OK.

Awe Angie I am sorry you missed it as well.  I am sure she is doing great.  My son said he was home sick and I am sure she is too.  Hang in there.  I miss him so much and shed a tear or two everyday.  It is hard but this will make them strong..send us to the mental hospital but at least they will be prepared for the world they are about to join. LOL

Hello! My son is ship 2 division 951. I have not received a box of my sons stuff however, I have received a letter form telling me when his graduation is. I'm pretty worried about him. wondering if he is okay. I miss him so much. It's different not having him around.

Good day group, I had a rough day today thinking about and missing my son.  Then when I logged in tonight and seen that PIR in 38 days I became very excited.  I have to go out of town for a few weeks beginning next week and then the time will become less and less.  I can do this and so can you.  I starting thinking about how hard it is on us that our child or significant other is away so long and then it came to me.  Wow it must be so hard on our loved ones to be away from the comforts of home and feeling alone.  This is when I really began to worry but realized quickly that we need to be the strong one during these times.  I am so excited for my son and the adventures he will be experiencing.  This is what he wants to do.  It is a choice and I think it is a good choice at that.  I will continue to miss him and cannot wait to give him a great big mom hug but have come to know this is how it is going to be off and on throughout his military career.  I will be strong and supportive for him and will always be here to give him that hug.  Just my thoughts for today!

My son ship 2 DIV 951 . been 3 weeks from today i just receive phone called in the morning and letter affternon. he said he like the food in boot camp ...LOl... He said it hard , but he can make it.I'm so happy to hear that it make my day.

But i don't receive the Box yet. Because i movied and they sent the box to my old address. My son just tell me this morning. What can i do to have the box back ? any body can tell me what i'm going to do . thank you .

Hello Ship 2 Div 951.  Good Morning.

Good afternoon! Hope you had a good day. I got no phone calls, but I did receive a letter today. She misses everyone like crazy and said it's nothing like everyone said it would be. Can't wait till 11/2. Oh and she is the weapons P.O. for 951. Not sure what all that is, but she just hopes she doesn't screw up.

I got a letter today!!!YAY, now I feel so much better.  He is doing good and said the 2 RDC's he has are known to be the hardest but they will make a great sailor out of him.  My son competed in riffles all 4 years in JROTC and is very good but for some reason they have him doing drums.  He also was in the band and can play several instruments.  He said although he is a little disappointed about that he will do the best in what ever they give him.  He said he is the youngest in his Division.  I am so proud of him.  I told him to keep his faith strong.  He has made a few friends.  One has the same job as him so they will go to A school together.  I don't like to say names here so I won't but the initials of one of the young men he has made friends with is A.  Mc.  Once again my son has made my day.  I think I will be just fine and know he will be.  It was a great letter.  I love my son T.B

It is amazing how much better I feel now that I have had some communication with my son.  Before I received the short call and the letter I would cry just at the mention of him being gone but now I excitingly tell them about his plans and ours to go see him graduate.  I know he is OK and I know he is safe and I know he is preparing for his future in a positive manner.  What more could a mother ask for.  Have a awesomely great day!
