OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. There are now tickets issued, and there are no longer parking passes for PIR.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Congrats to the sailors of Div 359-362!

Good morning all....safe travel today!  Enjoy the MeetandGreets tonight!  Be EARLY for PIR tomorrow....you won't regret it.  Remember, you can take snacks into PIR.  So take your breakfast with you.  They sell coffee, etc there also.

SARGE will have lots of info for you tonight if you go to his MeetandGreet.

sheila:  That would be a good question to ask SARGE.  He is very familiar with restaurants in the area.  You can either ask him at the MeetandGreet he has on Thurs night...or text/call him at 847-212-0246.  I know he would be glad to help!
