Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 355-356.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the main wall to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hello to all the parents of Div 355-356 from Ed and Myrna (aka JoMomma)

and a big thanks to FTLW for starting this discussion.

We are from Oregon. Is anyone else from the West Coast?

Hi. My son is in 355 and we are in SoCal

Hi there F12sMom,  what part of So Cal are you in?  We used to live in Canoga Park, Simi Valley, Woodland Hills, etc., My husband and I were married in Canoga Park in 1984.  Hope to keep in touch and see you at PIR.

We live in Menifee near Temecula. I will be there. Maybe will see you at Sarge's M&G

Hadnt thought about the M&G.  Not sure where we are staying yet.

Good Morning Myrna! (And to other parents in Divisions 355-356)

I am from Central Texas. I am anxiously awaiting that first phone call or letter!

Hello Everyone! My name is Candy and I'm from Pennsylvania. My son is in Div 355. I received his box and the form letter last week. I can't wait to hear his voice.

Hello candys5000; my son is also div355 last from Arizona.  Glad another parent from 355 is on board. 7 actual letters were received from him on Tues of this week.  They are only allowed to mail on Sundays. Your letter will hopefully arrive soon.  Hang in there.  I know exactly how you feel.

Hi!  My son is also from division 355 from Florida, waiting on this weeks letter ;-)

Hi candys500! I am from Pennsylvania as well.  I have received 5 letters from our son, but we did not receive the form letter. I am a little concerned since we want to attend the graduation!  Our son was hospitalized for two days due to an infection in his foot, but made up his time and is on tract to graduate. I was thinking that maybe the letters were sent out while he was hospitalized.  We are working with the recruiter to try and get this resolved, but I'm very concerned.

Hello everyone...my son is ship 09 div 355...missing him terribly but oh so very proud!!!  we're from East TN (originally from MA).  Glad to have found so much info and support!

Hey all,

My Son is in Division 355. We are from Arizona, Nevada and California.  We are home hoping as we are helping out my Son's Grandmother who had an accident.  My Son has a new wife in Arizona and a baby on the way.  Allthough he has been on his own for a couple of years, its like he left home all over again when he went into the Navy.  Hard to not miss him so much.  Would like to talk with anyone from same Division and hope to meet you at PIR.
