OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

Welcome to the discussion group for division 952.

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I am wearing my anchor earrings with a navy blue strapless shirt and and navy blue blazer over it with kaki pants. Haven't decided yet if I want a heel or flats with it. My son is wearing a sailor costume:)
Letter day! Anyone else get one? My husbands says he fights himself not to ask to come home and is waiting for the ok from me to come back. Any words of advice?

I got a letter today, yay!! It was a much better letter this time around. He sounded so good and replied to each of the letters I sent. sorry to hear about his thoughts to come home. It has to be hard for you. Just remind him what an awesome thing he is doing for him and his family, how proud of him you are and how proud other people are of him that don't even know him. Seeing a person in uniform has always given me goosebumps to know what they are willing to do for people they haven't even met. I know you are already doing these things though. I wish there was something I could say to help you and him through this tough time apart. I know it isn't the same for a mom as it is for a wife, but every letter, I tell him I am proud. Please keep us informed and as they always say, one day at a time.

Thanks for the encouragement. I pray that god shows him the right choice to make

2 letters for me today. So happy.

Received 3 letters this morning, dated Oct 1, 7, and 9th. Everything is going well for our SR. He is awaighting on conf of recieving his E-2. Playing in the band Sax.

Recieved 2 letters today. SR says a lot of the group is sick with colds.  Stated that he will be staying in GL for 10 weeks after PIR, he was suppsoed to go straight to Groton, Conn. Has any on one had the same issue. Did say that is getting colder every day and they need envelops for SR as they are not going NEX very often.  The way it sounds is that they are starting to go into h*ll week. He has made a good friend that he has bonded with named Jordon N

I hope evrything is okay with this sr as my son is in that unit
