Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 913.

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My SR and I have been together for almost 5 years too so it would really be sad if I couldn't go to PIR, especially since he's not even close to his Brother at all...but whatever it's his decision although it will always be in the back of my mind that he didn't choose me..you know?

He's going to Pens. for IT. Not alot of SRs go to Pens. for IT so it'll be amusing when he's around all the Airmen and everybody else.

Hoping for another letter today. The last one has got him complaining about 4 min showers with 84 other guys and only with 8 showerheads haha.

Haha - that would be my son's complaint!  He LOVES his showers! Sooooooo hoping you get to go and see him graduate! It is such a tough situation :(  I even told my son in my last letter to him that if he REALLY needed to have his gf there, I would bow out and let her take my place. I am the one who put my mom on the list - at the time thinking there would be 4 allowed. If the dad goes, then I may do that. I told him to just make sure he orders the DVD! :) I want my mom to see it, to experience it - You never know how long a grandparent has to be on this Earth and I want to to be there for this! She was diagnosed with Cancer last Feb and she went through treatment and surgery and she is cancer free now - it will be almost a year to the day for his graduation and I think that is a great way for her to celebrate!

If your sailor puts his brother ahead of you, I know it would only be because of parental pressure. Parents suck sometimes (that coming straight from a parent!)  Is the brother old enough to stay at the hotel by himself while the parents are there?

As for Pens - I am guessing they will have at least a full class for your Sailor's group for IT school, right? Or will it be a mixture of Airmen in that training as well? At least he will know a few of the guys that will be there - maybe even get bunked with them :)  I would guess it will make the time go by quicker - as long as the ones going are guys he actually likes! hehe

I'm hoping his next letter won't be so depressing since this is the first time in our relationship where we've spent a Holiday like Xmas so far apart and absolutely no contact at all. The experience has really just taught both of us a lot about our relationship and ways to improve ourselves in order to be a better person for the other. I've actually already bought the Div coin and other Navy stuff haha. Hope he won't be embarrassed with me walking around head-to-toe in Navy merchandise.

That's quite sad actually since my Maternal grandmother died of bone cancer around 10 years ago. I was quite close to her and she actually helped raised me a lot through the years.

But yeah even his mother said that he might have put his bro's name on there in fear that she would get mad at him lol. Hopefully she'll be able to get past it if he does decide to change it to my name.

As for Pens- I really hope he doesn't have to wait so long to class up. Not too experienced in that area as this is my first Military experience. But I'm thinking it'll be a mixture of Marines, Army, and AF people in his classes. I definitely know that I will be down there to visit as soon as he gets to Phase 2 though.

Let's keep each other posted. 913 is no cake walk and the more info we get, the better we will feel.

We will definitely keep each other posted!  I am sooooooo hoping for a letter today :) lol

Also hoping for a letter today~

Go check your mail ladies. I got mine...it's actually a bunch of letters continuing over several days in 1 envelope and wow he even took time to fill out my questionaire! xD.

Apparently Chief Ross drinks 4 Red Bulls a day and chews alot of Skoal.

Sadly about 75% of them are sick with cold/flu-like symptoms. =/

It won't let me reply to your last comment... looks like we maxed out the system :o) So sad to hear they are sick!!!  When I got my call, he said he "sounded sick" because it was so cold up there but now I'm sad to think he is probably in that 75% group.  He is a group leader, too, and I know he will push himself really hard to not be less than perfect.  Poor babe, I just want to hug him.

I have one more hour until my mailman gets here!  Will be stalking him :)  So sad to hear most are sick!  Been praying they wouldn't get it! My son is also a leader...actually, most of the 84 in this group are probably leaders and that's why they are in this group together - Imagine the testosterone in this group! haha

4 Red Bulls a day??? Poor Chief Ross! I don't think that or the Skoal is gonna do him much good! lol

Glad you got lots of letters Miss Elly!!!!  :D

A one page letter from 12/29/12.  He said he only had 10 minutes and he wanted to send something before the New Year (so much for that!)  Oh what a smile I have.

He didn't mention if he received my letters yet, and based on timing, I don't think he had.  So I haven't heard his response yet that I *am* going to make it to PIR, which we weren't sure I should bother with before he shipped off.  I changed my mind about how important it was about... 48 hours after he left.

The Sarge event has been posted for our PIR group!  I RSVP'd already.... because it's not like I'm supposed to be working at work.

Haha - I saw that!!  I just RSVP'd too! :)  Who needs to work ;)

and just so we all know. They've began getting our mails. My SR said he got 3 of mine in one day and was so happy that he almost cried when he heard his name called. <3
