Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 916 and 917.

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Each PIR has three performing divisions that will perform at their PIR. I will post some info below this comment to help you understand how it works. There are two performing divisions in the 3/1 group and 2 in the 3/8 group. Therefore the 3/1 group would only need one of the performing divisions from the 3/8 group to perform. So that would be why one of them only gets to perform at their own PIR . This only happens once or twice a year. No matter what you will all be amazed at their performance when you get there. I just wish everyone would be able to see their recruits in a pic

Love that the countdown has dipped below 30 days! Received 2 letters from our SR today (jackpot!) - he's Ship 02 Div 916. One was dated 1/27, the other 2/3 - it seems odd that they both arrived the same day, but I suppose he may have forgotten to mail the first one right away. He seems to be doing really well, so that's a welcome relief!

I agree and congrats on your jackpot too...:)

I got a couple of letters today!! And he finally wrote my parents and told them he hoped they hadn't been too worried about them :)

awwww...:)  I am so happy to hear your news Sunshine...:)

I was so happy to hear my son's voice on my phone on Sunday.  Then he called me again on Monday.  Did anyone else get a second call?  I was shocked!  Having a hard time waiting until March 8 to see him. My son is on SHIP 02 Div 916.

My SR said that his teeth are impacted so they didn't do anything with his.  Yes, those letters are wonderful.  I can't wait to check my mailbox everyday hoping for a letter.  I am glad that you got the letter and I hope that you get many more and a call or two :)  Hope to meet you on March 8.

navymom3994--My son's teeth are impacted, too. They are putting him to sleep next week to remove them. I kinda wish they would leave 'em alone like your SR.

He told me that last week, I am hoping that they don't change their minds.  But if yours is getting that done, chances are they are doing that to all.  ARGHH!  I will let you know if I find out.  I will pray for a speedy recovery!

Thank you, navymom3994. I would greatly appreciate the info.

My son had his two bottom teeth removed Jan 25th.  None of his had even broken through the skin yet.  He said top two would be done later, they were still too close to his sinuses.  He said it wasn't nearly as bad as he thought it was going to be.  In the letter I got yesterday, he said he's already lost the sleep he had gained while in SIQ!

I asked my SR if they had done the same to him, I am waiting to hear back.  I am glad that it didn't hit him too hard.  Did he get sick after the shots, mine did.  He said he got better and then got sick again about a week later.  He was expecting this though.

He said that he was running a lot and has gotten his time down to under 12.  He was a minute off his first PTA so I am glad the hear that he has done that. How did yours do?  Did he pass everything, I hope.

We have 27 more days and 3 Fridays to go - Thank God!
