Hi I just received my son's KEEL book from his time at RTC in Great Lakes IL. Only issue is, I don't see any of my son's photos or division info anywhere in this entire book... Neither of the two divisions listed and photographed aren't his. The recruit graduation review date is listed as more than an entire month prior to my son even arriving there. Is this book not supposed to pertain to his personal experience there? There's nobody that he even knows in this book. It seems like a waste of his money to even purchase this book if this is in fact the way it's supposed to be. Or did he somehow get sent the wrong book by mistake? I'm really not sure but it doesn't seem right to me...?

Wow, sorry to hear this.  It does sound like there was a mix up. You can contact the Photo Lab at Great Lakes at 847-578-6205.  Hopefully someone can help you with it.

Keep us posted!

I agree with B'sNukeMom to contact the Photo Nex, but not today - it is PIR and they will be swamped.

I will say though, I recall the only pictures of my son's Div being in the back few pages. The rest of the Keel is just general pictures, and I agree, I felt rather slighted. However, our Keel was part of the picture pkg which my son had purchased so it was not something I could just say yes or no to and it not cost extra.

When your sailor goes out on a deployment, they will likely do a Cruise book and that one should have more pictures that pertain to his ship and the deployment.

My son graduated boot camp in March and I have no idea what a KEEL is and that's ok, but am sorry you didn't receive what you had expected. I do appreciate that the photo lab number is listed. My son had a picture frame, but they listed his wrong middle initial. I want sure what to do, but now I intend on calling them to see if this can be corrected. Thanks
