For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

awsome, let us know if there's any change; I still don't know, my daughter has not told me. I have not had a call for more than a week and her letters are so short......, but I feel so happy when i receive one, hahahaha

I hear you with the short letters, and how is it I mail at least 1 each day and get back at best 10 lines and not one of those lines answer any of the questions I have asked....uuggghhh But like you said, I am happy as a peach to get a letter at all!! Just wish he would answer. Oh, and he did take the time to tell me he hates the questionares and has no time to fill them out so they went in the trash..:(

My son is in the Honor Guard - at least as of Superbowl Sunday. He too does not right a whole lot in his letters. On the phone he said that he had answered a lot of questions in his letter, but he only got to 2 or 3. I am sure that was a lot to him :) I am happy to get what I can get. Letters are not coming in much but the last one he mentioned that he was worried about having watch and not being able to be with us much.

I was told they can be with us for about 5 hrs, as they are flyig somewhere else. Let's see all we can do and talk during that time

hahahahahaha, all kids are the same, mine never answers my questions, but what can we do? Maybe they will when we are face to face in 19 days.

My SR's birthday is the 9th so I hope we have enough time to have a nice dinner to celebrate. Does anyone know how long they have at the airport before the first flight leaves?

I'm just thankful I get a letter every Thursday! He doesn't give any specifics or answer many of my questions but at least he writes a page or two. He's never been a big communicator :) And I finally got the form letter!!!!!!!!
He did say he wanted to go out to eat and maybe see some of Chicago before he flies out on Sat. Don't think he understands there really won't be time to see Chicago!
