I have not been doing much of anything these last few days but mope and check online.  I have read everything on this site since I found it, just about 5 days ago.  Why I haven't made the search earlier, I don't know.  It would have made his leaving for BC less traumatic.  But then again, I have been in denial until we exchanged our goodbye hugs on Monday...

I would love to hear from others whose loved ones share the same ship/div.  Mine will go to Nuke school later on and I'm so hungry for more news and info.

Hi I just found this group...my son is in Ship 03 Division 155...He will be going to Pensacola FL for A School.  His job will be ABH.  I got his box as well as the form today...I thought I would be sad but actually it was nice to have a part of him.  Look forward to 4/29/11.
Welcome!
'Thank you!
How is everyone doing today?
waiting on a letter!! My husband read somewhere it takes 4-5 days to recieve. Anyone read this anywhere?

If you are on Facebook there is alot of people on there and I have really found out more info on there than anywhere else.  Great Lakes has a Facebook page called U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command and they are wonderful about answering questions.  The only thing I have read is it takes the recruit 5 to 10 days to receive a letter but ya know I dont' remember where I read that and if it's true or not.  A Navy friend of mine on Facebook said she received her first letter from her husband exactly 2 weeks after he went in.  My son shipped on 3/8 so I figured I probably wouldn't get a letter till next week.

Shew I can't wait and I know you can't either...

Has anyone made thier reservations yet?

we were told not to make any plans until a conformation of our sons graduation. They say for reasons of an illness or a non passing grade on a test etc. Not sure what to do.

My son asked for his cell phone (having DT"S, I guess) after graduation. Anyone know if they can have them at this point?

We are waiting for at least the first phone call b4 making reservations. Even though we got the grad date ltr. I want to know when he leaves for school. I am taking his phone just not sure if he can keep it.
I still made hotel reservations...from what I have heard most all places do not charge to change reservation dates.  LOL, my son I'm sure is having DT's as well, his cell phone is his life line.
