For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

My daughter was saying the same thing about first names. She understands why we don't use last names here, but it really frustrated her. She gave me the last names on several gals she hangs out with, but.....
Mine was also sick, though had just seen the doctor and on meds and feeling much better. Frustrated that she had to wait two days to get off LLD.

Got my phone call, too! The girl sounded very happy. She's on Light Duty for shin splints until Friday. She is supposed to PST then but she said that she has until 5-1 day to pass her PST.
She's finding the whole experience pretty easy but then she was pretty prepared for it and has that military mentality so I didn't expect her to have any issues.
She was exited that she 5-0'd her inspection today and she's received cards from a bunch of people. One of her friends sent a kit-kat bar and a deck of cards. The candy was confiscated but the cards were allowed.
I asked her if she knew everyone's daughters and that was a fun game because she kept wanting to hear more names. So, now she knows who's mom's I'm talking to here and who they are.
I told her about trying to do the Facebook questions to win a picture of the ship/division and she liked that.
We talked about why she got a demerit chit for talking in the loading dock...lol. but overall, she's laying low and keeping her nose clean.
Oh, and she has not seen any ninjas!
She also mentioned that the showers were all open and at first it was awkward but you get desensitized after a while. They have 15 minutes to get showered and out of there. The toilets have curtains.

I am happy that we all got phone calls. I am praying that all going well for all of them. Sorry to hear about the shin splints. I wonder if our girls know each other. I can't stop smiling.

I finally got a letter and was able to talk to Bryce for 40 minutes. Talk about heaven. He said the division is still struggling to come together as a team. Too much talking and not paying attention. He asked that we pray for them and some of the guys that have been sent home due to medical conditions.
Funny thing, I was in a meeting with the pastor at our church when the call came and I was out of there :)

Praising the Lord! You know God knows just what we need and when we need it. My daughter feels the same way and asked for prayer that they unite as a team.
