Chrisher, the peanut butter shot is actually a shot they give them in the bum, I believe it's penicillin. They nick-named it the peanut butter shot because its consistancy is so thick it feels like peanut butter.

woo hoo! got a letter today! :-) for those who wrote the SR not getting any letters, she is receiving them and is very touched and proud of them. my daughter said she is a real nice girl and it was really sweet of us to write her.

They have earned two more flags, the PFA (meaning no more than 15 failed it) and the weapons inspection one. All they have left is the drill flag to get. But she said the RDC's dont think they deserve it so they're rolling it up.

Still no deserts allowed (she drew an unhappy face)

She said hell week isnt so bad, they get to sleep around 8 and have to be up and ready by 4. But she has had to get up to iron three nights in a row.

Three boys have pink eye! yikes!

no mention of a phone call this time, but I'm still hoping!!!

I forgot to add in my message,,

We wrote to one of the girls..IS there another one?? IF so, can I have her name..I love writing to our girls for our DIV>>

Who is making the scarves..I went to look at material omg so exp,,They didnt have the material you guys used..Our Joanns wentout of bus here..Now I saw a photo of a mom making Ribbons with their Sailor name on it..I got ribbons and stars going to make those this weekend..I will post a photo of what I made..That is such a neat idea..Have a great day everyone~~GO DIV 071

I also wanted to write to SR who was not getting letters, so I would appreciate if the name could be shared with me too, infact I bought a card already.

Do we know when the 4 am wakeup will be over?  I just feel the pain all the way over here :)

When is battlestations?  That is the final PT or what?

Astrid, the 4am wake-ups will end tomorrow I believe. It was only for week 4 and because there is so much scheduled for them that they needed to get started earlier to get it all in.

Battlestations is the final test of skills and knowledge.   Here is a cool newscast that talks about what it is....

http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/us/2007/07/18/oppenheim.navy.disas...

It happens about 10 days before PIR. Hope that helped :-)

Thanks Tish, the video is very nice and informative.  And great to hear that the 4am wake ups will be over soon.  I don't get all this detail from my daughter or at least have not so far.  I'll probably find out when she is through with it :)

ok I have lost track of who I have given the SR's Info to. If you want to write them, please email me and I'll get the info to you.

HI TUCKER>>>I dont see your email...Here is mine..

I love the scarves! I have been to 3 or 4 places looking for that anchor fleece with no luck! It is soo cute! May have to order it online. Thanks for sharing =)

Those turned out great!

I was really expecting a phone call today =( Bummer, I needed to ask him if he knew how to get on the myPay website if he knew any of the info,. I got my answer from another individual I'm scheduled to get taxes done next Wednesday, with no W2 that i'd like to print offline. I guess it does come in the mail though? I hope! I know my W2 was only printable. Idk why the others got to call the past couple Fridays? and ours didn't? maybe because of the "i'm a sailor calls" that went on today. Or maybe they didn't earn it. Ohhh well =/ only 3 more weeks either way.
