For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Any one with loved ones in this division yet? My daughter left Dec 12th. I haven't received a letter yet from her, but I was able to get the Information from the recruiter.

Awwww what a great story. You hang in there. You've got a great guy. Every time I've run into someone who serves or servd in the past I've always thanked them. Most smile & say your welcome Maam. I've had a couple get tears in their eyes when that's happened.....its not good when I'm at work...always means a no sale for me but that's ok. I remember when someone from our town did the same for my son when they found out he joined the navy(it was at his brothers football game). Everyone here thank your SRs for me for their service& sacrifice. My sons girlfriend supports his decision to be there. He really didn't give her much of a choice. He stated he was joining whether or not she supported it.
I hope I get a letter today!!!!!!! -

Thank you both,. I lucked out with him <3 And thanks for all the information. I know it's going to be super hard, but from what I've gathered, being a Seabee, he won't get deployed as often because he shouldn't ever need to step foot on a ship. He should only be gone 6 months at a time, and hopefully we will be able to contact each other almost everyday =) The internet is a beautiful thing! I don't know how you did it years ago, I would have been a wreck! You sound like you have a wonderful family, and great kids. I hope our daughter is as well rounded from this experience =). This whole thing is kind of scary but your right, I need to embrace it fully, and I hope I do,. maybe he will retire from the military?? We will see. I hope the girlfriend likes the Navy experience as well. I'm waiting for the mail man now (the roads are terrible so he might be late) Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the compliment, I am so proud of all three of them.
I dont know who cried harder when my husband retired, me or him lol, I miss being around the military here, thats why we drive drown to Great Lakes every couple of months. My husband is now working on his second career, but we will always have that retirement check and medical, so if he were to ever get laid off we can survive on it and not have to worry about losing our house like so many others are doing today.

I'm so upset. My husband fell asleep!! He works 3rd shift and he's in bed not standing by the mailbox. Ugh. I work till 6 ill die if I don't find out if letters are there or not.

I woke my husband up. The jerk. We got a couple letters!!!! He won't read them to me. Ugh! I'm not cooking for him today. Possibly tomorrow as well

My jerk read the letters to me. Awwwww. He said he met a couple guys he talks with reynolds& miranda. He said they r stand up guys. Yay! He says there's a lot of yelling and standing. . Stinks I won't be able to read them until after work.

ha ha ha, he is lucky he changed his mind and read them to you!!! My husband wanted to wait until he got home to read them, but when he did, he didnt even take his coat off, grabbed the letters and went straight to the couch. Have fun reading them after work, over and over and over!! :-)

OH, I hope I get a letter today, but I seam to be a few day behind everyone else in getting mail. It took 9 days to get the form letter (from the post mark dated Dec 20)

Haha when my husband called back he asked"why did u hang up" Duh!!
I was thinking about what you said about your sons pay being higher when he was in afghanistan. I don't know how u stay sane with that. I wrote to my SR a fill in the blank questionair like was suggested on here. He returned that filled out. That's when he mentioned reynolds and maranda. He wrote us 3 letters. 2 in one envelope. -

Wow, what are the odds, weren't we speaking about how their personalities were similar? That made me blat when i read that. So happy my husband made a friend. Amazing. Thanks for telling me that. Made my day. The littlest bit of news is so great. I will let you all know I am not an emotional person, at all. I've never blatted so much in my life. Lol.

lets put it this way, I didnt sleep for the whole time he was over there, and he went three separate times! ugh
I want to send my daughter a form letter for fun, did you enclose a SASE? if so, did he use it to return the letter? I had read somewhere on here that their SR wasnt allowed to use the SASE.
