Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 001 and 002

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I'm a proud mom of a US Sailor! !! My son said all in div 001 and div 002 who went to battlestations passed! Started 2000 last night!

I just got off the phone with my Ship 03 Div.002 Sailor!!!

I'm Chicago bound next Thursday!!!

Congratulations Moms & Sailor Families on your Sailors!!

My Sailor did recognize some of the Initials of your Sailors. So it will be fun to match the Sailors & Moms up next week.

So happy for all of us and of course relieved. Such a proud moment!! I too look forward to meeting all of you.

I did tell my sailor about the website and that I though one of the moms might be the mom of the young girl who left with him that day and he said it is. So Alexandrasmom and I did briefly meet the day we left our sailors at the recruiters office. I had a feeling just needed him to confirm.

My Sailor is in Division 002. We are going to Sarges Meet & Greet.  I am making name tags for us so we will be readily identified. Going to post picture of tag so other Sailor Moms can find us. Can't wait to meet you Ladies. This site has been so helpful & encouraging to have other hand- wringing, stressed out, crying for no reason Moms that I can relate to ! LOL

Classycalicat

Thanks so much for making name tags. Great idea. Looking forward to meeting you all.
Classicalicat. Sounds great!!
I think I'll make a tag too

Texas mom,

I got light weight wooden Anchors [ about 3" tall ] , Gold stick on letters, Red, White & blue ribbons for our tags, Then to Michael's Arts & Crafts & Hobby Lobby for the hotel door & meet & greet table.

I don't know when I'm going to do all these crafty things - but I'm going to try to get it all done!

I have been looking EVERYWHERE for a wooden Anchor (like 18" size) to make for the hotel room door  and can't find one. I have zero ideas for a banner so looks like I'll have a plain door :0(

JerZeymom23;
I printed out USS Hopper and imprinted DIV001 and in addition I printed out a poster Hooyah with my recruits name and had all her friends a d family write messages on it. Keep it simple. If you need help, I will give u my number.
PS..I'm also from Jersey.
Alexandrasmom

Hi Alexandrasmom! I am going to try and brainstorm tonight after work. Where in Jersey are you from? I believe my son and your daughter left together.

jerZeymom,

I found Anchors at Hobby Lobby & they are on sale!

I was there on Saturday and they only had small ones. Like 3-4"
