I know, I know. I probably won't get a hit with this one but I'm afraid I have my hands into everything. Of course, many of my projects end up unfinished because I get interested in another thing and so it goes...
Here are the things I have dabbled/continue to dabble in:
Food/Nutrition/Cooking - With a degree in nutrition, this is probably the most constant in my life. Although I probably should put cooking in a category of its own because what I love cooking are the stuff I normally tell my patients to stay clear of. lol. I enjoy making pastries most because it allows me to be creative.
Gardening - Thanks to Southern California conditions, I can indulge on this to my heart's content. I used to have orchids by the hundreds but my in-laws, who live just a few blocks away, retired and decided to "help" me purge. Along with my cookbooks, gardening books, unusual cooking gadgets, out to the trash most went. Non-orchids continue to receive special care from them, too. The topiaries and other specimen plants are getting constant "haircuts". The bulbs didn't bloom this year because they were mowed down to the ground. Forget ground covers. Okay, I shouldn't dwell on this. :0)
Beading - I have boxes and boxes and boxes of jewelry-making thingamajigs in my little craft room. The last time I worked on a piece was three years ago, when I made Christmas presents for loved ones. I still subscribe to some of the craft magazines and hopefully pick it up again one day. Ditto with scrapbooking.
Is reading still considered pc? lol. I love a good book...any book, in fact. I could pick up one from the grocery store bin and really sink my teeth into it. When time was hectic way back in college, I just had to sneak in at least one novel a week just to "take me away". The Harlequins and Barbara Cartlands were my staples then.
And I'm a sucker for volunteering. People think I just don't know how to say no but I quit explaining about the highs I get from doing a good deed a long time ago.
Over the last 20-15-10 years (I don't really know when it started but diagnosis didn't come until much later), I have suffered from fibromyalgia. It started as a warning from the doctors to quit skiing, my most favorite winter activity of all time! Then it was too painful to go to the gym. Or even walk, at times. But that's a totally different topic altogether!
I was reading all the different entries here and some sound really interesting. Maybe I'll log off for now and find a new hobby!

Hello everyone! I just joined as my oldest son is leaving for basic training on May 29.
I also consider myself a jack of all trades. My main hobbies are crochet and jewelry making, which includes making polymer clay items for those. I also enjoy tie dye, making shirts, photography, painting.... You name a craft, I have probably tried it at some point in my life!
