NNPMom - These apartments could still work for your son.  They legally have to let them out of their lease when they get their orders after prototype grad.  And they are used to dealing with sailors so they are aware of this.  Did you ask them about that when you spoke with them?

The Winner's Circle Community.  There are other reviews saying different items corrected, but I pay attention to reviews like google and yelp, noting management can change and problems can be corrected, but to keep an eye out for for both the positive and negative with eyes wide open when looking and doing walk throughs to ask the agent. Here attached is a partial review from another long term resident of 2 years ago:  

PLEASE NOTE that most reviews of this place, here on Google, are over a year old and BEFORE the place was sold. This review will address some of the old but focus on the new which includes both the good and the bad, in no particular order.

The Good:
Well-lit apartments with nice layouts. Many different sizes to accommodate nearly anyone,

including the local military base that has a large amount of people here.
Garage comes with apartment and you can rent an additional garage.
Pool and gym -a nice perk -can get very crowded on holidays -so new rules that seemed prudent.
Repair guys are fairly prompt 
Appliances are junk but they replace them quickly when they fail.
You get free cable TV, internet and garbage pick up. All three services are very good.
Apartment heat and A/C is top notch.
Terraces are nice but very narrow for more than one person.
The area is safe. There were some kids from outside the complex who selectively targeted one person but most everyone I feel felt safe.
They provide an online portal for people to connect 
Power outages are as many as 4 times a year. The surrounding area is trailer parks and I surmise that the infrastructure needed is yet to be addressed by National Grid. No fault of the owners.

The Bad:
Like with any complex people come and go. Some are nice and some are not. One guy would regularly vandalize cars in over flow parking that he deemed were his extra spot.
The walls are very thin so not all bedrooms are usable as they are adjacent to the living room of the next apartment in some cases. This is essential to identify before you move in.

Many units have leaky ceilings. Mine leaked for the entire time I was there despite their efforts to correct the problem. At this price a leaky ceiling in the middle of my living room was unacceptable.
The complex is on a Verizon dead spot, so you will need a land line or tower booster from Verizon in most of the development.

FedEx, UPS and USPS get lost in here (750 families and weird addresses are used for the apartments) and it is a regular occurrence to not get your packages. Most of the time people will let you know via the portal but many are lost (stolen) forever.  During the pandemic it was pandemonium with packages here. 
Both the new owners and old ones just cannot keep up with ongoing issue of snow removal -for many years as you can read elsewhere. It took 24-72 hours after a storm to get my walkway cleared and even than it was icy and I have fallen more than once. My girlfriend took a terrible fall and had a concussion last Winter
The new owners have given up on the landscaping. Dead grass, over grown bushes, weeds, dead perennials are everywhere especially in areas away from the leasing office.
The new owners are now allowing aggressive dog breeds such as pit bull mixes. I have been chased more than once by dogs off lead including at the mail kiosk and common grassy areas.
The rents under the new owners have skyrocketed like in most of Saratoga. $500 to $700 raises a year are common no matter what they tell you up front.
The area around the three ponds is covered in geese feces most of the year.
Some of the ponds are actually rain run off reservoirs and they smell really bad in the late Summer, especially the one out back by the trailer park.
The smoking issue is OUT OF CONTROL if you have asthma. People smoke in their doorways and it travels into your windows. The pot smoking on terraces is wide spread and constant.
Many residents do NOT pick up after their dogs, so certain areas are disgusting to walk through.
Location is very windy so garbage from the recycle cans is often in the weeded areas. In their defense, I am not sure how they can get it out.
