Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 001 and 002

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Congrats on the ribbon. You must be so proud. Our count down begins almost there.

If there are any other moms from Cali here I do know that my son's bunkmate's initials are W.T. (or maybe B.T if he goes by the abbreviated version) His first bunkmate was J.W. but got switched at some point. 2 weeks from today we will be seeing our Sailors! I'm watching the live stream now of todays graduation so I know what we're in store for.

Keep us all informed on any info you learn watching the graduation today. I wasn't aware we could watch the stream of the live ones.  Hang in the Moms we are all keeping one another strong and I am sure our recruits are doing the same for one another.

So far I've learned that it does not start at 9 am promptly as stated (typical military hurry up and wait lol) It's pretty cool though. They encourage you to cheer and stuff but will tell you when to hold applause also. I thought it may be interesting but boring but it's not really boring at all. I can't wait to go now.

The link to watch is navylive.dodlive.mil

jerZeymom, I am in Cali. My son is ship 003 div. 002. Initials CM. I am writing him with initials of the SR's of other Div 001 & 002 Moms to see if our SR's are acquainted as we are acquainted. It will be nice to see the Mom's in person @ PIR.

So I watched bits and pieces of it since I'm at work. Didn't really learn anything useful for when we go. It does get packed on the floor afterwards so it will be crazy trying to take pics.

Time is ticking down until 11/13 and I am so excited to see my Sailor.  I'm a little bit bummed that I wont be attending Sarge's Meet and Greet, but I'm getting in late.

aww that's too bad. I can't wait to see my sailor also. I'm ready to get on a plane right now! Especially after not getting any letters this week :0/

I received a letter Thursday, but anxiously awaiting that phone call.  It's so funny that my cellphone has become part of my body.  I even have it next to me while sleeping.  I never thought I would be this crazed before.  I am so very proud of all the young men and women who put themselves through the test.

I wanted to run something by the group because I am not certain on this but does it sound right that the recruits or sailors at that point join us at Sarges the night before PIR?

Jerseymom. Wow, that wud be nice. But I don't think recruits will be going to sarges. But what made you ask?

I asked because I was talking with a former Navy Sailor who I work with and I swore I understood him to say that he was the only sailor their waiting for his parents to come in and they never did and he unfortunately didn't learn until the PIR that their flight had been canceled the day before so they couldn't make it.  I am going to have to clarify with him to be sure I understood him right but I swore that is what he said then we had to go our separate ways to meeting, etc. but it made me think do they actually attend is that suppose to be a surprise for us?  I am sure I heard him wrong but it was a nice thought.
