Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 081 and 082.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Thanks for the info.  Will probably pick up a card for him tomorrow to stick in the mail.  I hope they get their mail soon - and pray they will all test well.

I am struggling with this the most. I have sent about a dozen letters and at the point that my husband sent his last letter, he had not heard from me at all. It broke my heart to read that he "hoped I was doing ok because the silence worried him and he hoped I would write him". That was the first point that I have really cried since the day he left.

Hopefully they will get mail soon....

Azniki-I bet by now he has gotten your letters and is very happy to hear from you! Just trust that you both are thinking about each other and missing each other and know that your love will get you both through this. And in about 34 days we will be seeing our loved ones again!!!! Hang in there!!!!

Hi Aznikigirl21,

My daughter sent three letters in one envelope and the first was the same as your son's. Other's had been getting mail for three days and she hadn't gotten any yet. "What the hell family?" I felt like someone had dropped cold water over my head. The next letter started, I"m fine now.  She got her first letter and cried, then they handed her four more. :)  I sent letters the moment I got that form letter in the mail, I don't know why others got them 3 days sooner, but like Rose said, he's gotten them by now. My SR's first several letters were dated 10 days back.  *fingers crossed*

Hi all!

I am so happy to have found you!  My daughter is part of Ship 03, Div 081.  We have rec'd two letters so far. Her boyfriend has had a few more :)  Grandparents called and said they got one.  It sounds like she is getting at least a few of our letters.  I am so eager for the phone call!  Thanks for the tip about the calling card.  We will get one in the mail today.  In the letters she stated things are going better now that they are through the first week.  She is going to A school also in Pensacola- I think someone else said that too... Hooray- she will know someone!  In one of her letters she wrote that in week 5 they find out their assignments for after A school.  Looking forward to knowing where they are going to end up at least to start. Thank you for sharing your experiences/knowledge/letters.  It is such a pick me up.

I was in tears on Christmas Eve because we had just received some mail from our SR and he was asking his dad did he give me his address because he had only received one piece of mail to that point... his dads Christmas card.  I was saddened at the thought that he was disappointed thinking I hadn't written yet, when in fact I had sent him 3 cards and a letter. But thankfully the note we got from him this past wk said that on Christmas Eve he got the Christmas cards my sister and I had sent him, and thought of them as his "Christmas gifts". Missing him alot today.... glad to be able to get on here and talk with other families missing their loved ones too.

Hi All ~

I got a letter on Saturday from my husband. On Christmas morning after breakfast he came back to find 7 of my letters on his bunk! YAY! He was so relieved to finally hear from home and I felt a million times better that he is feeling better.

He said he should be calling on Jan 2nd but doesn't know what time. I can't wait to hear his voice and hear everything he has to say. I know he probably doesn't get long but I want to hear everything.

I never sent a phone card though. I didn't know to. How does that work? If he doesnt have a phone card, he can't call home?

I hadn't sent one either, but my SR said she bought one in the NEX.

When I looked thru the group "New Members Stop Here" it said that if they dont buy a card and we don't send them one they wont be able to call unless they get like special awards like doing great on an inspection or test or something.

So excited I was finally accepted to Navyformoms.... our son is ship 03 div 82. We have gotten several letters (about 3 each) but were also saddened we didnt hear from him Christmas day. (Or since then). We received a letter last Saturday he wrote on Christmas day but it didnt really say what they did for Christmas. He sounded in good spirits though, said he had passed uniform and bunk inspection and the sit ups and push ups was a lil too slow for running but sounded encouraged that he wld get it.
