While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 085 and 086
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

We got a call this afternoon! Sounds like they are doing ok in Div 085. They got a lot of snow and my SR told his sister he was glad he didn't have to stand snow watch. He indicated they are on day 2-1 and Monday will be 2-2.

Got a call this morning. Sounds sick. Said he spent Christmas morning shoveling snow. What does it mean to be on day 2-1. Does that mean they're not even through the first three week period?

motormom, my son is in 085. He said they were on 2-2. That probably means that Friday was 2-1 and Monday will be 2-2. My math shows that Friday should have been 2-5 or 3-1 depending on whether they were on holiday routine on both 12/31 & 01/01. They of course know better than we do so I guess Monday will be 2-2. If you look at the day-today listed on navydep.com week 2 day 3 is a big test day. Since several of our SR's have stated that Tuesday is a big test than that sounds right

Well my son called and guess where is was....at the mall!!! I knew i should have stayed home. Oh well at least my husband was home to talk to him. Said he sounds great and he is doing well. He didn't ask nearly has many questions I would have, but at least I know he is ok. He said get gets enough sleep, eats good, stands watch has the top bunk passed his swim test and his PFA. I feel more relaxed today knowing my son is doing well and is happy.

We got a call today. He sounded good, said there's lots of them with colds, but sounded fine. He said he thinks maybe another call later this week, I'm not sure why. He didn't talk long and the phone kept going out. He said there was a line and lots of people were in line to make calls.

He called at 2:45, he either said he'd be able to call again Thursday or next Thursday. He was really rushing and we barely had time to talk.
