Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 123 and 124

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

It has been such a good feeling to get news from all the Hopper  SR's .I do not know if our SR is in 123 or 124.  Our Sr is not a very good communicator, so your SR's have given us a lot of comfort with their news. All of the SR are continously in my prayers, even the ones who were sent home for various reasons.I know that many are very young like our SR, and have very few  life experiences and need to "grow up" very fast. I am very proud of them all !! Our SR probably had to clean the bathroom (head!)  too. Looking forward to seeing you all on March 22! Any one from Indiana?

I know this coming week will be a true test.   Battlestations will be their final big step before becoming a Sailor.  I will say a prayer for all the SRs in the brother divisions 123/124.  I look forward to meeting all of you at PIR.

If they pass Battle Stations on Thurs. - Fri., what will they be doing for the last week?

power0806,

The last week will be spent on PIR practice, they will still have some PT, and they will still be learning (training book, scool info etc.), that never stops. They will probably visit the NEX more often, so maybe more phone calls and at some point the brother divisions will probably get a "pizza party", music, fun, laughter, and no worries. :)

Thanks for your input Ellen...I was wondering the same thing too

Hi USS Hopper Moms/families:  Just back from Mexico, I have never been happier to return home from a vacation....and its due to counting down the days to PIR on 3/22.  Did continue to read daily all of your comments on N4M to keep myself update on life at GL. A letter was also waiting of me when I returned!  Psyched!  My SR is not a writer so it was short and sweet - very positive, said they got thru hell week just fine, were getting their official military ID's last monday and time was flying by!  Said to keep the letters coming ( I had written out 7 letters/cards before I left and had Grandma mail one every day while I was on vacation) so my SR would continue to get mail while I was gone.  So excited for next week!  Thanks everyone for continuing to post information you receive from your SR! I am coming to PIR alone and will be at the Navy Lodge so I am hoping to meet many of you there or at Sarge's Meet and Greet on 3/21!    Tammy

Eliana - We have not received a letter this week yet, usually they come on Thur. But last weeks letter mentioned the DIV was really busy with test, battle stations prep and all. The end of this week they will be going through Battle Stations .. im sure all is well, just a busy, intense week for them!

Good evening Hopper Moms!

Last hours before Battle Stations - I'm more nervous for this than MEPS!!!  Got a letter today and SR said they are all feeling better now and he was glad this was the last letter he would have to write.  Scores are up in all catagories and they are getting psyched for the challenge ahead and their A schools.  They are also looking forward to next week with less yelling and more trips to NEX.  Hope he doesn't spend everything he just  earned.

I've printed the Gate Pass!

Many prayers over the next 72 hours for all of our SRs.

To all US Hopper families:  pray for all of the SR's that they continue to succeed and everyone makes it thru Battlestations and passes in the next week!  Healthy, injury free and happy!  PIR next Friday, wooohoo!

Hello Hopper Moms,

I don't think I will be sleeping tonight.  If I read the schedule right, we are only about 16 hours away from the "I'm a Sailor" calls.  They are in the thick of it at this moment!

We r not to post about this, one of the rules!

I understood Per Community Guidelines:  (Top right column)

"members should post comments that are related to the ongoing discussion in that particular area of the website."

"Details regarding training, equipment, and current or future operations or missions. (But Boot Camp is okay.)"

Please correct me if I'm wrong
