Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 391 and 392

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi all!  My SR is 3/391 - heading to San Antonio - anybody else?  We live close - so hoping to be able to "host" a few friends when the time is right!  Maybe Thanksgiving!

Hi everyone - Do we know what week/day 391/392 are on? Thanks.

  • I just got a letter from my SR, telling me that Ship 03, Div 391 got an academic flag, b/c the division average score was 4.2!! (he got a 4.5!!); let's celebrate, PIR 10/18/2013, Ship 03, USS Hopper, Div 391!!  :D

Hi all, I got a letter yesterday but my SR has been battling a really bad cold. DIV 392 he did not mention any tests, flags, or what week. Did any of your SR mention a phone call for this weekend? Mine did so hoping I heard him right sometimes the call is very hard to hear. I hope the best for all of your SR and hope you all are doing well. It is struggle to adapt to having a child away from home but I know in time I will adjust to this too. I look foward to getting you know all and my SR goes to Goose Creek for his A school. Have a blessed day!

Ship 3 Division 391 Any News?
I have not heard from my son in over 2 weeks.  I keep reading about how other moms are getting phone calls and letters and I have not heard a thing.  I read recently that the group did well on thier big test and won an acedemic flag but I was wondering if anyone has heard from their SRs.  Any news would be great.

Hi my daughter is ship 3 div 391. The last call was about 1 and 1/2 weeks...nothing since then.

Hi, I have not heard anything either. I do get letters each week on Thursday's. Last letter was they were doing fine on Week 4 day 1 I think. If I understand it they are on "Hell Week" this week and if I understand it a new week for them starts on Fridays so perhaps we will get a call this week. I think after this weekend they can't call for 2 weeks due to the intense weeks they have coming up getting ready for battle stations but please keep in mind this is just what I was told from a Navy Mom who is one week ahead of us. I will post if I hear from my SR by phone or letters. It is hard I know but we are almost there!!

Hi - PIR is getting close! Anyone's SR in 391 going to San Diego?

Hi, does anyone have 391's BattleStations date yet?  It must be getting close...I know it's not allowed to post online, but please PM me if you have it!  Thanks!  My SR will be staying in GL for A school, so we'll get to see him all weekend!

My SR wrote to his brother this week, but not much news  Ship #3 Div 391  just very busy and no time to write mom!

Just got the I am a sailor call from my son Ship#3, division 391.  He only had 30 seconds, said he was a sailor since 730 this morning and has been up for 32 hours.  So excited!

Hey, real quick, does anyone know how to buy those division-specific items of clothing?  My sailor just asked me to get him the hoodie for 391...

I know we talked about it at some point, but i can't remember the details.  Thanks in advance!

~ Dawn
