Just got the first "letter" (really a form letter) but was wonderful to see my son's one paragraph handwriting!  Now I have a PIR date so would love to hear from any other mom's, wives, GF's  out their that have loved ones in this division!

No, and i really hope one comes SOON....seems like we are the ONLY DIV that has not recived any

I know :( In my SR's letter he said they would be getting to make their first call soon. My phone is attached to me non stop! My heart skips a beat everytime it rings!
I'm just hoping my SR doesn't call while I'm in a meeting at work.  I believe my boss will be understanding, but I want to be able to give my son my full attention.

We just got our CALLS.....As we were talking, 90 seconds into the call, you hear "GET OFF THE F---ING PHONES (said that 2x), GET OFF THE GD PHONES NOW"  and my SR has to hang up!!!!  My husband and i are looking at each other like what was that????  All i could think is how rude and insulting to the parents on the end of the phone to have their CO yelling @ them like that were the parents can hear!!!!   Three min. or so later he calls back and said they can now talk 6 min.....I was still  so furious at the CO for his disrespect to parents that it made to call tense.  Anyway, was nice to hear his voice, wish the first call had been nicer, but as my SR said "that's how they talk to us all the time"

Anyone else get those calls?????

I am so happy that I found this site.  I got my call last night too!!!!  and they made him hang up that soon too.  Unfortunately, I didn't have the second call, but to hear their voice was reassuring.

lyndahl you were probally hearing them yelling at the group before your recruits. He probably thought they were yelling at him. lol thats why he got to call back. Poor guys are so worried about getting yelled at they cant' enjoy their call.

Expect the next one after battlestations.

Thank you for warning us.  I am so anxious now to talk to him.  I am so happy for everyone who has received their calls.  How awesome.
My boyfriend is in this division..
My phone is glued to my hip, definitely anxious for a call..

FYI 04/803:  All family members here, please go on facebook to try and answer Tuesday's Trivia and Wednesday's wacky photo contest, so we can get a chance to see a picture of our recruits.  I tried yesterday, but unfortunately, didn't win.  It's listed as U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command.  The contest is at 10:00 am on Tuesday's and 12:00 on Wednesday's.  Thanks

I still haven't gotten a 2nd call.  I am wearing a fanny pack with my cell phone in it so I dont put it down and forget it.  I did get another letter yesterday.  He sent a whole bunch for the family.  He says he wants me to make him a calander as he cant remember what day it is.  He also wants me to get everyone to write him.  He sent me phone numbers of people to call for letters.  I miss him I admit.

It has been hard for me since Sunday after my older son came to visit and left again.  He said he would be back in 2-3 weeks again.  Laundry you know.  :)

I'm sorry you have not gotten your call....I wonder if it was due to the yelling/mess up of someone in that DIV that he could not get his call in?????  As stress- filled of a call ours was, at least he got to call!

Week isn't over yet.  I will prey for a phone call.  But if not, that will be the  more joy I have when he calls week 7.
