For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Ok my 8 Zero 9 friends. I still do not have a clue what I will be wearing on Friday but I did find a little Texas Flag purse that I will have on my shoulder!!! I absolutely cannot wait to be there!!!!!

So great you all have an identifiable accessory. That makes it easier to spot you all. So glad we will all be sitting together. Just got my I am a sailor call!!!! As i was driving 8 hours home in the car. Rummaging throught the purse for cell that was verbally telling me the number it was calling from. He said he was tired as they have not slept since 4 am yesterday. Now he said this next week is a waiting game as they are done everything. He is uncertain exactly what they will be doing to pass the time. Thanks to all of you for this great journey...now on to the next leg. See you Friday. (Oh and btw... the weather says rain and high of 52. will be a little chillier than hoped for)

Yes, Me too. I've got a sailor too ! Very, very exciting...........isn't it?? :) Again, looking for to finding all of you Friday in the bleachers. :). I just know we will all find each other. :)

I got a call today from my son but he didn't say anything to me about being a sailor. He said everyone got a call home for getting high scores and they got red bull and reeses for a treat :) I wonder if he IS a sailor and forgot to tell me. He called his dad, too, but didn't say anything to him about it.

Cor is right oldlady, take his stuff. He can pick through what he wants to keep. My son had to purchase a black backpack in order to take things back onto base. Cor, did that apply to your son?

Well, we are home here in Texas after attending PIR on Friday. While I am very comfortable in my chair, I am desperately missing my son in GL as I know all of you are. When you love someone so much it is hard to say good bye. But when you are so happy for that someone, it is hard not to let them go. I am so thankful for all of your sons. They are friends, or maybe I should say brothers. I loved meeting the ones I got to meet and I loved hearing stories of many others. Praise God for the bond that they share. May it last a life time. My heart is with all of you mothers and fathers for we are all together in this journey. We have raised warriors and I believe that men like ours find favor in God. He delights in giving the desires of our hearts when they belong to Him. Please, lets stay in touch. It was a wonderful week end. (sigh)

Sancy, HI !!! It was SO nice to meet you in person :). I totally agree with ALL you just said. I truly believe, and now especially after meeting some of the young men and hearing their stories, their true desire to want to be a Navy SEAL that this IS THEIR CALLING. The already have formed a GREAT bond together. It did my heart so good to see my son so happy. All of us said, he is "in his element". I truly appreciate ALL of you and want very much for ALL of us to stay connected. May God keep each and everyone of Class 296 in His special care. It truly was THE BEST weekend of my entire life.

OldLady... that is a great thought as to why we kept meeting other guys from 809. Our son's med records were lost and they didn't let him move with the others (found Monday but they still didn't let him moved till Wednesday) , so meeting the other guys was good for him to find out what it was like over there and to keep up. I thought that was a God thing for him too!!

It was really impressive to see so many divisions march in. I got teary!! Ours was of course last. My husband was the one on the balcony seats standing at attention in his Army National Guard dress uniform and saluting each on as they were announced. :) It was really cool to see him and Jacob salute eachother when we found him. He went stratight to his girlfriend's arms. they would be engaged if she had allowed him to ask, but wanted to wait... We have been there for each other! that was good! I Wish I had met more of you, but of course all of our attention was on our sons and getting to them when "Liberty" was called!! Maybe another time! :)
