I ran into a friend of my son's that he had written to. He told him a funny one too. Someone did something and got in trouble and had to stand in front of a mirror and call himself an A-hole for an hour!  How humiliating these stories are. Guess they have good reason for doing what they do.

judge, I have heard some stories, but that is the worst one yet.

Waiting for a new letter...cant wait to here from him. It kills me counting down the days, but at least I havent heard any bad news that hes been put back, infact he told me that he passes his PTA again. hopefully that was the finally one and he can get that out of the way. any news from anyone elses son?

Hi Omama...No new letters yet. Mine usually get here on Thursdays. So if he wrote it should be here tomorrow. Still go with the no news is good news. That is great news that he is passing though. The 30th will be here before we know it.

Hello Ladies, No, I do not have any new news.  Just wanted to say hi to everyone.  I am staying busy with work and writing letters :)  Counting the days until graduation.  I really can't wait. :)  Have you watched the graduation video?  As soon as that door starts to go up I start crying.  I should be a hot mess come March 30th.  Hope everyone is doing well.  GO NAVY !!  GO 809 !!!

oldlady ( I really hate calling you that, sorry)  THANK YOU !  Your post makes me feel SO wonderful !  Knowing my son is a part of a group "doing fabulous things" is awesome.  He knew going in that more would be expected of him and the group he would be in due to his BUDS contract.  He has told me in letters some of the PT's they do and that he was "loving it".  I don't know where you got your info.  But again THANK YOU !

PS.  Please don't tell us too much.  I want to be surprised at graduation.  Thanks

I recieved a letter today also, said that there group is doing awesome and that their RTCs are being way more awesome because they are all doing so well, and they can brag!!!! I love it, and am so excited to go to PIR!

Yes, I got a letter yesterday also.  My son is saying the same thing.  Their Div. is focus and working great together.  Getting very high scores as a Division.  I'd say we have some pretty awesome sons.  I keep ALL of them in my prayers.  Oh yes !  Bring on PIR !!!  Can't wait.

Hi all.. Just curious if anyone (possibly veteran moms?) would know when the RTC began seperating the SEAL's for bootcamp?  Which PIR date was the first graduating "800" or seal div? Is our group really special or are they more so because they are "our boys" ? Just wondering.  I know they have to be on their a game because of what they are contracted to do. However in reading some of the above posts it seems our guys may seem to be standing out. Which is amazing to hear. Unless I am interpretting it wrong.  Somebody just set me straight. lol

Judge, From everything I have read and letters from my son the 800 Divisions definitely have more expected of them and have much harder PT's then other Div's.  It does sound like our SR's are doing pretty great things. :)

judge, great question. As far as I know they have to be separate due to having pool time in their schedule. As you already know they have mental training to gain teamwork that the other divisions do not have to endure quite the same.

Yes your boys are special for doing something that so many would never even consider. The toughest training any where. These guys are amazing.

The 800 div marches in last at PIR and the response in the room is overwhelming. Something I will never forget.
