Boot Camp Mom's Prayer

God bless my recruit as he meets this day

I pray that he has the strength to find his way

As reveley wakes him so loud and clear

I pray your love will lead him, and he will show no fear

If there's danger and if there's strife

Please send Angels to guard his life

Keep him safe and hold him near

Bless my recruit, I hold him dear

Until he moves on to PIR day

Bring peace to our hearts

And strength to our faith

(Many thanks to our own 'teeny' for sharing!)

Good morning ladies!

Happy birthday to my terrific SR! Never in a million years when I held my precious 4lb baby boy in my arms for the first time did I ever dream his life path would be to train for the most elite fighting force in the world. He is truly an amazing young man as I know all your SRs are as well. And I PRAISE GOD for allowing him to be in my life!

I praise God also for the beautiful women he has lead to this site and into my life! Phase one of a very long journey is almost over and a new adventure is about to begin for them and us. I am truly thankful you all will be sharing this journey with me!

It won't be long now! Gods Blessings to ALL

myty, I was thinking the very same thing yesterday.  my SR's bday is the 16th, next Wednesday. My SR was about a pound bigger (5 lb). It is truly amazing, and I praise God for the wonderful tiny bundle he gave me (almost) 22 years ago too.  What a path they have chosen.

Counting down the hours almost!

Happy Birthday to your son, myty

Happy birthday to your SR today myty!

I went back in the discussion thread and found teeny's happy dance-- seems particularly (and potentially appropriate) for today:

(_l_) (_/_) (_l_) (_\_)  happy dance ladies! ....7 days and a wake up...

I know I'm slightly holding my breath in a hurry up and wait mode since last night and today; I've had all of our SR's on my mind and I'm hoping and praying that they are doing well, individually and collectively as a team. I have a feeling most of you are feeling the same way. ;D

No doubt 'this' has been a journey for our SR's but in more ways than I knew at the time, this has also been a journey for me- as I imagine it has for each of you. 7 weeks or so ago I did not truly expect that I would find such a phenomenal and supportive group of women. I simply feel blessed. At some point or another we've each (publically or 'privately') reached out to one another and prayed, cheer-leaded, "hand-held," cried, laughed and worried-- not only about our own SR's but one another's. I feel fortunate and grateful that not only will we get to meet in a week but that, we as a group of "NavyMom's," will continue on this journey with our sons-- together. Thank you each for simply being who you are.

OK ladies WOW  I am crying now.  Everyone said it very well.  Our journey has probably been just as tough as our SR's. Mentally anyway.  I know that I could not physically do what they are doing.  Yes, even though we have not met face to face  we have held each others hands in this journey.  I am looking forward to taking the next step with all of you and can not wait to meet you and yes invade everyones PERSONAL space!!!!!!  Me I am looking forward to that!!!!!!!!!!!!  Thank you to each and everyone of you for just being you and letting me share my joys and my insecurities with me and boosting me up when I really needed it.  THANK YOU......  May God be with all of our SRS  today and with us as well.   I am like SWWC"em  I did not expect to find each and every one of you and to hopefully make lifelong friends with each of you

Happy birthday to your SR  MYTY.
