OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Specific information on this policy change will be provided in the coming days and weeks.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your support.

RTC Graduation

**UPDATE 3/07/2022**

Mask Mandate has been lifted but you are still required to be vaccinated.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Welcome to PIR 05/18/2012

OPSEC, OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Recruits/Sailors are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Got my keel & DVD too flgirltwo
Comment by flgirltwo on July 3, 2012 at 5:52pm

Got the Keel and the DVD today!  They are both really nice!  I thought the Keel would be everyone at PIR, but it is just the brother divisions which is really nice - those are the people he worked and trained with and it would make a huge book if they included everyone!

No we have not gotten the Keel or DVD as of yet either.. We were hoping it would have come this week as our Sailor is home on leave before he is off to NF VA. on Tuesday...Once in VA we don't know how long it will be till he is home again as he will train there until Jan or Feb 2013 then off on ship.

Comment by ellen0502 on June 7, 2012 at 9:19pm

I am leaving this group now too. Good luck to all of you and your Sailors as they start on the next leg of their journey.

Momship, I just got the DVD of my sons PIR from 4/20 two days ago, still don't have the Keel. It will take several weeks.
